what i do
Five services, one artist
Every treatment is performed by hand, by Yvonne — not delegated. Hundreds of hairlines,
brows, and scars restored, each one designed to suit the person in front of her.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
A non-surgical solution for hair loss that restores the look of natural density using precise pigment application to replicate hair follicles. Designed for thinning hair, pattern loss, alopecia, and scar camouflage, with visible results from the first session and long-lasting results you can trust. Visit the Scalp Micropigmentation site
Brazilian Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage
Custom-blended pigments used to gently camouflage scars, stretch marks, and skin discolouration, blending them into the surrounding skin for a more even, natural-looking result.
Inkless Scar & Stretch Mark Rejuvenation
A gentle, non-pigment technique that supports the skin’s natural healing process, helping to gradually soften the appearance of scars and stretch marks - safely and without introducing ink.
Fine Line Tattoos
Soft, delicate line work designed for understated, meaningful expression. Each tattoo is custom hand drawn and precisely placed for a subtle, elegant finish.
Permanent Makeup (PMU)
Natural-looking brows, eyeliner, and lip enhancements tailored to your features. Enjoy effortless definition every day — beautifully applied, smudge-free, and maintenance-free.
The Gold Standard Guarantee
Your complete satisfaction, plus an included touch-up after your final session. We don't consider the work done until you're confident walking out the door — and we stay with you to keep it that way.
MEET THE ARTIST
Hi, I'm Yvonne.
I am the founder of illusions by Yvonne, a paramedical tattooing and permanent makeup studio based in Newmarket.
My journey into this work began after spending many years at home raising my four daughters. When I returned to my career, I realized that everything I had explored creatively over the years - oil painting, acrylics, woodworking, and stained glass - had quietly prepared me for the precision and artistry this field requires.
Art has always been at the heart of who I am, but what makes this work especially meaningful is the impact it has on people's lives. Whether I’m restoring the appearance of a hairline, camouflaging a scar, or creating natural looking brows, I have the privilege of helping people regain confidence and feel more like themselves.
Every treatment is personal, and every result tells a story. Being part of that journey is what continues to inspire me every day.

Common Questions
Pricing depends on your level of hair loss and the areas being treated. Because every client’s scalp is unique, a precise quote is provided during your free consultation - along with a clear, honest price range upfront.
Most clients describe it as very tolerable - around 2–3 out of 10 and significantly less than a tattoo. The process is done at the surface level of the scalp, and most people are surprised by how comfortable it is. A topical anesthetic is available, but it’s rarely needed.
Most clients achieve their final result in three sessions, typically spaced about a week apart. Each session is designed to gradually build density and refine the hairline for a natural, balanced finish. Be cautious of anyone promising full results in a single session - quality work is a process, not a shortcut.
Scalp micropigmentation is designed to last for years. Over time, the pigment may gradually soften depending on factors like skin type, age, sun exposure, and aftercare. The Gold Standard Guarantee includes a touch-up after your final session to keep everything looking clean, sharp, and natural long-term.
Virtually none. Most clients return to normal routines immediately. The scalp may appear slightly red or feel a little tender for up to 24 hours, but this settles quickly. We simply recommend avoiding heavy sweating and direct sun exposure for the first few days to ensure the best possible results.
Yes. Scalp micropigmentation is suitable for all skin tones and hair colours. The pigment is carefully matched to your natural shade and applied in a way that replicates the look of real hair follicles, creating a clean, natural, freshly-shaven appearance that blends seamlessly with your features.
